KRAK was born in Nagaoka, Niigata, Japan, and has loved drawing since he was a boy. At the age of 16, he began to draw pictures in earnest. He later discovered graffiti and became particularly fascinated by SEEN, a legendary graffiti artist. When KRAK was 19 years old, he traveled to the USA to experience the roots of graffiti and was strongly drawn to stencil graffiti, a form of graffiti that uses stencils and spray paint.

After returning to Japan with a passion for stencil graffiti, KRAK taught himself the skills needed to create works of stencil graffiti, and began working as an artist under the name KRAK. In 2009, he stopped publishing his works to focus on drawing pictures once again, and that same year he established his own design studio, KRAK OFFICE, in Nagaoka, his hometown.

After five years of focusing on his design studio, KRAK resumed his artistic activities as an artist in 2014. During his hiatus, he experienced many changes and KRAK OFFICE gave him a new perspective. All of these experiences have contributed to the development of KRAK's unique style and artistic progress.
